I walked by and sometimes with homeless people from union station down the street to my law school. Miraculously, no crimes. I gave them money and food and they chatted me up about current events. I was, however, once assaulted by a very much housed man in a red state 🫩

I met a great guy. Tall, smart, financially independent, thoughtful, articulate AND Black! There’s just one problem. All of his views on politics are pure red hat, with the white letters. It is as surprising as it is horrifying. I am tempted to pretend that it doesn’t matter. Unfortunately it does.
