Yeah like I think the delay is decent, and the distortion on the filter is nice for example. And yeah absolutely a mini studio.

Honestly an underrated thing for me is it's basically a computer but I'm not getting distracted by YouTube or something lol

I can get really locked in having fun

Like I'm getting used to it but has some jank for sure (no overbridge, fx are either incredible or laughable - 3 reverbs but only one is usable lol)

From what I understand and I may be a little wrong is that the mk1 firmware kept getting updates to bring it in line with mk2? Like I watch videos/tutorials sometimes and it's not much different watching someone work on either

If you got the workflow down with them it probably will suit you. There is a bit of jank though. For example not having overbridge has taken getting used to. Either record out your tracks separately or like just record a master bus in its entirety

I like it a lot. Hard to say how steep the learning curve is tbh - I know if you are not used to elektron stuff and you hate a manual you will bounce off it tho

I've been recording samples in using my phone with an adapter and a guitar lead. The plan while the laptop was out in the shop to record songs back into my phone using the same lead but my phone is a bit goosed so that hasn't worked out

Laptop still out in the shop. Been going hard on the octatrack making a few things a day. Need to start figuring out composing them to record - probably will work pen and paper to map out stuff and then record them once I got the laptop back

Animals making sounds are very popular sample sources for producers which at first seems innocent but is actually quite sinister. You see copyright laws don't tend to apply to animals and they have no recourse to sue - producers know this very well and continue to exploit animals making funny noises
