We have one of these. So simple. So elegant. So much garlic, so crushed.
Better to look like one, than to eat one!
Sending hugs.
I hear you.

It's like that.

You get habituated to a certain amount of energy or spare time, and when that changes, it's hard to overthrow your habituated boundaries.
Pic in previous post - honeysuckle wallpaper by William Morris, who said you should have nothimg in your house you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

To be fair, I am not fond of Morris's designs - too twirly swirly for me - but I am very fond of honeysuckle
So.... Sunday....

A gentle day. Learning a new board game. The satisfaction of cleaning out a corner of the kitchen and throwing thimgs away.

Friends. Dogs.

I do wonder if I should replace doom-scrolling with jigsaws.
Sending anaelgesics, healing vibes, and coffee
And some excellent red pepper soup.
I try not to do #soblessed posts, but yesterday started with a sauna on a beach, and ended with the Northern Lights behind the lighthouse.

But it was hanging out with my friend, sharing hopeful shifts on our worlds - theirs and mine - that made it a good day.

It's us, not our backdrops that count.
I thought for a while that I was Granny Weatherwax in training, but realised after a while I was more like Nanny Ogg. No mean witch, outsources her housework, drinks mainly apples &, it has to be said, has (& is) a lot more fun!

I 🧡 Gytha Ogg

These days I am more Old Mother Dismass than either.
Friday's good things....

⭐️ Some stonkingly excellent professional recognition for me & my team

📝 Getting this month's main deliverable publishable, scheduled & ready to go

🏖 My honey arranging some very much needed down time: more rest & recovery than rest & recreation

That makes some sense. Crossing all my appendages.
This is the content I came here for. Get much better soon. Xxx
... so every time you go to the lavatory there it is vitally important to get a receipt."

The late, and very great Douglas Adams, in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
"...the fabulously beautiful planet Bethselamin is now so worried about the cumulative erosion by ten billion visiting tourists a year that any net imbalance between the amount you eat and the amount you excrete whilst on the planet is surgically removed from your bodyweight when you leave: (1/2)
And god knows (and I mean that as literally as an atheist can), god knows the men need telling that children need protecting more than they do.
I am, as you'd expect, Team #Mullally, so far as it's appropriate for a lapsed Anglican to be in a team at all.

She seems an impressive woman, with experience of leading a national organisation.
The Anglican Church..... oh, my, do they even make enough popcorn?
Yesterday's good things.....

(Remembering yesterday is an important part of my practice: it's harder than thinking about today, & it helps me sift my experiences).

So... yesterday's good things....

A blether with my neighbour
A new mop for sweeping the floor
Playing board games with my honey
Projection is a thing. They are looking at their own soul, not you, dear heart.
