Played a w40k game yesterday, 1k points. My Votann into Imperial Guard. It was fun and I won but I think next time I'll try another detachment. I used Needguard but it didn't really do anything for me, guess I'll switch to Hearthband next time.

Used the body of my second kapricus (which I'll build as a defender) to build a passenger for my first kapricus. I used extra arms and shotgun I had left from the Yaegir kit.

Couldn't resist, I bought a second Kapricus, this one I'll build as a defender. The ability to move-shoot-move looks really fun. I'm not settled yet on which weapon loadout to use, but I'll probably build both.

A first completed cursed sepulchre for my Soulblight. Same dimensions as GW ones, but a custom build using milliput trees, 3D printed bats, and a part of the sand and bone spearhead terrain.

Working on the crew of my earthshakers. I didn't like that two guys had the exact same arm, so I did a quick kitbash to replace the hand of one guy by one with a pistol (from the Yaegir kit).

The foundation: a zenithal prime followed by a wash of Dark Tone and a Dry Brush of an off white (Army Painter Brainmatter Beige).

Initial colors applied in thin layers: Corpse Pale for the flesh, Orc Blood for the cloth (both Army Painter), and speedpaints for the head: Holy White and Slaughter Red. A touch of dark red (crusted sore) in the mouth.

On with a wash: purple tone on the flesh added a bit of red tone on the cheeks.

The highlights and the eyes. For the eyes, first a point of yellow (Phoenix Flames by Army Painter) then a touch of Pure Red. Also used pure red to highlight the hairs. For the flesh I use mostly Brainmatter Beige for the highlights, and here and there a slight touch of Toxic Boils (a light purple). I also used Toxic Boils to highlight the cloths.

I use true metallic colors: Retributor armour, Auric Armour, Liberator Gold and then a silver edge highlight before applying the speedpaints.

When painting my vampire blooded armour, a key step is establishing a strong golden armour foundation (then I use speedpaints to color the armour). I call this golden step Sloublight Eternal or Stormcast Gravelord ^^
