59 miles to go to get 500 miles of running for the year! Considering I wasn’t able to really start building mileage until about May, this is great.

To put it in perspective, the time period between Stegosaurus and T Rex is about 33% longer than the time period between T Rex and today
I don’t know a lot.
But I know a lot about dinosaurs.
Now we all know dinosaurs lived for millions of years right?

Definitely tired today, but happy to get on the ice for a little. And I managed to skate backwards a little! Definitely need to work on it, but I think I have some ideas on how to. ⛸️

Kiddos got haircuts today! Fritz hated every second of his, but thankfully only swatted at the scissors ✂️ twice, and Ayla purple and rainbow tinsel in her hair this time, and a trim so her hair won’t get in her eyes when she practices violin 🎻

Pretty chill Thanksgiving overall. It hasn’t always been that way, so I’m thankful for the times it is. Plus, the kiddos got to run around in the snow flurries, which gave way to giggles

Something that really gets to me is seeing ads for “clean ingredients”, “PFA free”, “cruelty free” goods and then seeing news about food borne illness monitoring getting defunded, EPA allowing PFA in pesticides, ICE seizing workers.
No ethical personal consumption that protects against system rot.

As a note: the coldest starting temp for a race I’ve done, so far, was a half marathon in either January 2021 or 2022. It was -2F. By the end of it, it was a balmy 9F.

When I ran this morning, it was about 55 degrees. When I do the turkey trot with my family tomorrow, the temperature is supposed to be about 28, not counting windchill 🥶
