Its tongue in cheek. She's a presidential candidate, and her opponents party suggested the way to win would be to 'Smear the Bejaysis' out of her. So we are all obliging by highlighting the worst social faux paux she probably (didn't) commit. In jest of course. And some are very nuanced for Irish.
