Happy World Linguistics Day from the Linguistic Association of Finland!

Today, the association's board had a meeting and discovered that NINE excellent theses had been submitted to the Master’s Thesis Award 2025!

Now the jury will read all the theses and announce the winner in February 2026. 🏆

Suomen kielitieteellinen yhdistys palkitsee ansiokkaan pro gradu -tutkielman!

Vuoden 2025 palkinto jaetaan gradulle, joka on valmistunut 1.10.2024-30.9.2025. Palkinnon suuruus on 250 € sekä ilmainen jäsenyys vuodelle 2026. Lisäksi palkittu kutsutaan esitelmöimään yhdistyksen vuosikokouksessa 2026.

Ensi viikolla suomalaiset kielitieteilijät kokoontuvat Kielitieteen päiville. Ohjelmasivulle on lisätty tietoa Suomen kielitieteellisen yhdistyksen vuosittain järjestämästä paneelikeskustelusta.

Tänä vuonna paneelin aihe on "Kuinka viedä kielitiedettä kouluihin? Mikä on tiedeyhteisön vastuu?".

Mukana kaksi nuorta tutkijaa, Grace Joplin Ferreira, joka puhuu autistien kielellisistä vahvuuksista, sekä Dorothée Schulz-Budick, joka kertoo monikielisten perheiden vuorovaikutuksesta.
