When I described how the guy didn't move when Lena raced at the slider, barking & growling, they said, wow that guy must be really drunk...pretty scary that his plan was to drive around and pick up his kill. I'm glad they intercepted him ahead of a potential accident, too.

Better than a fine, he ended up in jail overnight...the trail cams caught his activity, so he had to plead guilty.

That's a good system! We have licensing but they aren't expensive & the tourists don't seem to follow the rules.

Along with Lyme, we have a lot of Anaplasmosis & the Lone Star ticks have been giving folks Alpha Gal Syndrome which causes humans to have severe meat allergies. We used to only have deer & dog ticks but the Lone Star ticks have moved in during the last few years...

We had to report someone last season who shot a deer on the other side of our stone wall, steps from the house, in the dark & then showed up drunk on the back deck, not sure where he parked. We live on the corner of two paved roads & Lena almost went through the slider when he appeared on the deck.

We are quite tick infested on Martha's Vineyard. I'm recovering from a tick infection & almost all the locals are dealing with some sort of tick related problems...
