The Australian government has banned Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek from Federal government computers.

All government bodies, except corporate organisations like Australia Post and the ABC, will be forced to remove all DeepSeek products from their devices effective immediately.

The reality is that the majority of people using ChatGPT won’t even need to use the o1 pro model for heavy use, and for those that do use this model for business and are power users, it’s actually not a big business expense.
