I wrote about how the smallest things — the aroma of coffee, a quiet moment — can shift your whole day and remind you you’re living well.
Mine today was a pumpkin spice espresso… in winter. I’m not letting go.

I’ve started something new! It’s called Dandelion Truths.
Truth is stubborn — like a dandelion pushing through concrete. This new Substack space is for honest reflections about how we live, adapt, & stay human in uncertain times. My first essay is live. open.substack.com/pub/dandelio...

Even if you’ve had COVID-19 in the past or have been vaccinated, it is still possible to become infected, experience serious illness, and infect others! Stay up to date on vaccines, wear masks, get tested, and stay home if you’re not feeling well to help reduce risks for yourself and others.

Grief changes with time, but it never truly leaves. Some days it’s a quiet whisper; other days it catches you off guard in full force. Anniversaries have a way of reminding us that love doesn’t end — it just shifts. Thinking of anyone who’s remembering someone today, as I am.

I need to say a few words about Darren.
He was, in many ways, the doctor all doctors needed to be. Compassionate, caring, an advocate and a poet. We were all privliged to have him in our world.
And we are poorer for his departure from it.
Wherever you are, I hope there are paddles and pedals.

What's standing in the way of work that actually fits you?
Options I hear a lot:
1. Not seeing vacancies, i.e. for hybrid, remote, flexible roles
2. No luck getting interviews
3. Getting ghosted on offers
4. Not sure what I want to do

What's true for you?

I care deeply about health care.

Although many individual doctors care deeply, systemic issues often fail to adequately support patients with complex, chronic conditions. The system is collapsing under complexity, and it shows.

I want to help reshape what comes next.

What are your favourite Canada Day memories? Here's one of my top ones: On the 100th anniversary of confederation, we went to Black Creek Pioneer Village to sign the Oath of Citizenship.

It’s Canada Day, and I’ve been thinking about what this country feels like — not just the idea of it, but the lived experience.
Especially for the people I coach who’ve relocated here — they don’t just want to “fit in.”
They want to belong. To feel connected. To live it.🧵

Please share this photo and story widely. There is a window of time to help this person whose life might be in grave danger.

Ontario folks, please share widely. There's a window of time that matters here, potentially for the life of this person.

"Today, summer holidays are filled with the prospect of apocalypes: choking on the smoke of wildfires; suffocating in the heat; being swept away in a flood or by a destructive storm; tick-borne and mosquito-borne diseases; beaches closed by fecal coliform and algae blooms; and who-knows-what else."
Opinion: Rescuing summer holidays from the clutches of climate change
A never-ending cascade of threats is a reminder that we need to mitigate the climate crisis if we don’t want to leave our kids in a hellscape
