The Department of Transport seems set on an expensive, piecemeal approach to allowing blood bikes to use bus lanes. Dealing with this on a national level would be simpler and more economic.

The Department of Transport seems set on an expensive, piecemeal approach to allowing blood bikes to use bus lanes. Dealing with this on a national level would be simpler and more economic.

With the Labour Government announcing massive changes to the structure of policing across the country, I challenged the Home Secretary to look at the benefits of the police force matching the Greater Manchester boundaries and the local authorities and to make sure that is not lost in the changes.

Following a constituency surgery recently, I talked to the Minister this week about making it easier for appointees to use Access to Work – at the moment, some parts of the process make life really difficult for people, and that must change.
