Besides the state of… everything- today I got my worst performance appraisal ever. I’ve been in academia for 7 years and my boss who has less than 7 months of experience thinks I need to be doing more for the department. Mind you, I teach the most classes and advise the most students, but okay lady.

If I had a dollar for every time one of my COLLEGE SENIORS emailed me saying they think they deserve a better grade on a major project “because I worked really hard on it” even though they didn’t follow the guidelines… I would have $5 from this weekend alone 🤦🏼♀️

Last week I bragged to my students that I’ve never had a patient throw up on me. To keep me humble my kid just projectile vomited all over me. Twice in an hour. So that’s fun. #welcometobluesky
