I'm not sure I've ever yearned more for the internet to explode than after reading the insane responses to this on Instagram and Facebook from what appears to be a whole new breed of human who no longer cares about art, love, truth or having any form of inner life.
Give it a year, I reckon, and one of THE major societal divides, nudging countless friendships to an end, is going to be the one between people who post awful AI shit on the internet and people who don't because they realise it's a dishonest, ecologically ruinous evil fast-tracking us to apocalypse.

How did trees evolve in so many extraordinary ways, and completely reshape the planet too? "using fire as a reproductive tool, harnessing large mammals to spread their seeds (but poisoning ... less useful mammals), & splitting rock to create fertile ground in barren landscapes"

Good morning Bluesky!

Here are three armchair actions for a wintery Sunday.

It's easy to feel helpless in the face of everything happening in the world, but taking small steps is the way to start. A hundred people talking a small step is the beginning of a movement!
