The Nobel committee overlooked Francesca Albanese and countless more worthy candidates for the Peace Prize. Which says it all. Likely the only reason they chose Machado was so that Trump wouldn’t be able to throw a tanty over not getting it, because ostensibly her political aims align with Trump’s.

IIRC it’s dependent on soil (and drinking water) levels. There’s a lot of low level evidence for a rather mind-blowing variety of potential benefits/applications, and I’m sure they won’t all pan out but the evidence for cognitive benefits is getting stronger.
