Stumbled onto this on Reddit..I mean, these are good questions 🤣
Kind of shocked that @gozwift.bsky.social only just worked out how to calculate draft shadows on slopes! I always thought this didn’t seem realistic, particularly downhill. Thanks @zwiftinsider.com! zwiftinsider.com/drafting-upd...

If you’re going to and from rail stations in TfL’s Oystercard area, the contactless fare for the EXACT SAME journey can be dramatically cheaper than if you pay for a rail ticket

Enjoyable and interesting episode
“Enshittification” is the word of the moment. It’s the reason Google is all ads and Amazon serves you crappy overpriced products. Cory Doctorow, who coined the term, joins @nndroid.bsky.social and @rafaelbehr.bsky.social to discuss how we can combat it ➡️ linktr.ee/ohgodwhatnowpod

📺 Down Cemetery Road had 🎶 Black Steel by Tricky at the end of this week’s episode, which is an awesome track I hadn’t heard in many years. Looking it up I learned it’s a Public Enemy cover. TIL!

I imagine a lot of folks are hurriedly writing system prompts to ignore human-illegible text (too small, not enough contrast, positioned off the screen, obscured by images…)

“Impact: Code execution through prompt injection”

This is fine, they know this happens, don’t worry about it.
Google Antigravity Exfiltrates Data
An indirect prompt injection in an implementation blog can manipulate Antigravity to invoke a malicious browser subagent in order to steal credentials and sensitive code from a user’s IDE.

If AI is all it’s cracked up to be, why am I still hand-deleting so many cold emails selling things I don’t want?

This post makes a terrific point that the one thing the #opensource community doesn’t seem to want to iterate on is the set of licenses defined as “open source”. And, why no widespread accepted code equivalent of CC-BY-NC?

(Whether I agree with every single word here is irrelevant btw)
Anti-fascistic software is made possible by pro-labor licensing.

I've been trying to write this piece for years. Every time I get started I'm just overwhelmed with paralyzing visions of the FOSS commentariat accusing me of WrongThink.

But I'm tired and we urgently need to get our shit together.
Open Source Power
We have to talk about open source licensing.

WHSmith rebranding to TGJones is ridiculous. I think they were forced to rename after the high street shops but not the travel outlets were sold, but they either should have also licensed the brand, or taken the opportunity to do something different. What the have just looks shoddy and second-rate ☹️

Not going to name and shame but I’ve already been shown a bit of booth design at #kubecon where the most charitable interpretation is that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
