But if you're work is just for you and you yourself like how it is in this moment..you don't have to strive to improve. You can just enjoy this moment. Any artist can just like how their work is now.

This idea that you must always be striving to improvement and perfection in every thing you ever do- Is built on an idea that you have to prove the worth of your work to other people. Often times so you can get those other people to WANT your work, often for monetary gain..

No artist HAS to improve. They don't have to listen to criticism. They don't HAVE to study whatever you think they should. If they're art is for them, then what they want with it is what matters. Not what some vague audience wants.

Hot Take but the idea that making art without activly striving to improve in it or whatever somehow makes you inherently less of Artist is literally the exact same mindset that makes people believe art only matters if it can be sold and profited from.
