We had such a fun! We got a unique experience with quill and ink — learning how to sharpen quills, hearing the pen squeak, and realizing how easy it is to make a smudge!

🔙 #ThrowbackThursday takes us back 65 years to September 24, 1960, when Lac La Biche was buzzing with excitement for the official opening of its new natural gas utility system — so important that council declared it a Civic Holiday!
🌿✨ Thanks to everyone who joined Roots in Kherbet Rouha: A Celebration of Heritage! The event was amazing, and big thanks to the organizers. With everyone’s help, we’ve been able to put names to many faces in the photo album and will share them soon with Muslims in Canada Archives. 🦦
We were so glad to welcome food blogger and chef Heather (Northern Roots Lifestyle) on her visit for her project on Indigenous cuisine, connecting with the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We were happy to showcase our new display on local agriculture and foraging.
The past few weeks have brought some amazing donations! ⚾️ We've received a 1960s baseball uniform, vintage games, books, and an historic till. Thank you to our generous donors for helping us preserve our history for future generations. #LocalHistory #CommunityDonations

What a day! Over 100 visitors joined us for Alberta Culture Days at the museum. A huge thank you to our volunteers, artists, food providers, and partners who made it a true showcase of our community’s cultural diversity. It wouldn't have been a success without you!
