Josh Allen was sacked by Milton Williams on third down.

Pretty quick pressure there, but the Bills need their receivers to get open.

Khalil Shakir is beloved in Buffalo for more than the run-after-the-catch plays that he makes for the Bills.

The receiver and his wife, Sayler, started a foundation that's helped 55 rescue dogs get adopted by families.

"I would say right now we're not where we need to be as far as facing these scrambling quarterbacks."

The Bills face another one this week with Drake Maye coming to Orchard Park. The numbers through 4 games and how Buffalo's defense can improve:

Bills are having trouble with scrambling quarterbacks. How will they handle Drake Maye?

The Bills have committed seven penalties this afternoon, more than twice as many as they had in their Week 3 win over the Dolphins.
llysowski.bsky.social
The Saints averaged 8.8 yards per play in the first quarter.

Not ideal for the Bills' defense, but they're leading 14-7 with New Orleans driving.

James Cook set a franchise record by scoring a rushing touchdown in an eighth consecutive game.

Cook ran for 29 yards on that drive. Josh Allen is 5 of 5 for 103 yards. The Bills lead 14-7.

Rough first drive for the Bills' defense ends with Kendre Miller's 18-yard TD run.

Broke multiple tackles. Saints drove 69 yards on seven plays. They went eight games without an opening TD drive, the longest streak in the NFL. It's 7-7 with 6:46 left in the first

What a run by Khalil Shakir.

Caught the screen on the right side of the formation, spun off an arm tackle and ran 43 yards yards for a TD. Bills 7, Saints 0.

RT Spencer Brown is among the Bills' inactives for Week 4:

CB/KR Brandon Codrington
CB Ja'Marcus Ingram
LB Matt Milano
DT Ed Oliver
DE Landon Jackson

Rookies Jordan Hancock and Chase Lundt are active for the first time this season. Same with WR Curtis Samuel.

Pro Football Focus named Bills LG David Edwards as their offensive player of the week.

The guy hasn't allowed a sack in the regular season as a Bill, and he has quite the story.

Option QB in high school. College TE turned RT. My profile on Edwards:

David Edwards' journey from option QB to key cog on the Bills' offensive line
Edwards hasn’t allowed a sack in his 36 regular-season games as a Buffalo Bill. And, to no one’s surprise, he hasn’t lost the humility and work ethic that guided him
