FILM EDITOR/ASSISTANT EDITOR LOOKING FOR WORK!

I am a passionate, movie-minded hard-working editor looking for work on narrative shorts and features. Mostly remote but I am in the L.A. Area. Let me know if you need some help bringing your story to life!
Just saw somebody call Edward Scissorhands Tim Burton's "most personal movie" and that's just kinda funny to me because 1) Big Fish is definitely his most personal movie and 2) he always kinda talked about ES like it was just a silly fun idea he had.

It's so weird knowing there's a nonzero chance that Richard Nixon has been in my house. That's not a prompt for a horror story, I just happened to move near where he grew up.

I saw a Youtube video earlier that suggested the reason young men are being lured into the MAGA movement is because they have no media outlets for their feelings of disenfranchisement. It pointed out how anti-establishment music basically died after Eminem. I'm curious how accurate this theory is.

If The Simpsons keeps going for a while, I have a suggestion: Have a season premiere where somebody accidentally turns off whatever is keeping them all stuck the same age and then have like ten seasons where all the characters actually age in real time. Would people be against that? After this long?

Last year was the only time I've ever voted D for Pres. Took a lot to give in. Ended up losing my state, first time in 20 years. Kinda soured me on voting party over principle. If I had voted for Chase like I wanted to, it wouldn't have mattered and I wouldn't have to say I voted for Harris.

I don't think I ever knew this but Trump didn't even get the majority of the popular vote in the 2016 primary. He only got 44.95%. The majority of Republicans voted against him just like the majority of America voted against him in November.

It's so weird to think that I first heard of Barack Obama over 20 years ago. This Oprah interview was in 2005. How is that even possible?

I hope the nominees in 2028 are Gretchen Whitmer and Nikki Haley. Give us a woman president no matter what. Throw Jill Stein and Jo Jorgensen in there again too. Fuck it.

When I went to see FNaF yesterday I saw a guy wearing a Jax hoodie. Never seen that out in the wild before.

LOL women in Congress are speaking out against Speaker Johnson saying they aren't being listened to, and his response is to tell them to shut up.

Congratulations, David Zaslav, on being the most destructive force in US entertainment in the entire history of show business

Thinking again about how historians will talk about this time in politics 20+ years from now. How kids who aren't even born yet will learn about it in school. That time Americans voted for somebody for president in order to help him avoid credible prison charges and then regretted doing that.

I think the most enduring charm of the FNaF movies is just how much you can tell Scott Cawthon is loving every minute of making them. There's an earnestness that you can only get through passion and both movies are overflowing with it.

How is Netflix going to buy WB? The last I heard they were billions in debt.
December 5, 2025 at 3:29 PM
As much as I absolutely despise this Netflix/WB stuff, it really is the perfect fit. They're two companies that hate movies, and hate their audiences so much that they feel like they're kind of made for each other.

Wanted to make this again. It's a graphic of each U.S. president paired with every Best Picture winner from when they were in office. Gets a little confusing with non-consecutive terms though. Thanks, America.

Just realized that, eventually, inevitably, there will be a Chuck E. Cheese's horror movie, and it'll just be a rip-off of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
December 5, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Seeing Five NIghts at Freddy's 2 tomorrow and thinking about how Markiplier was supposed to cameo as the guard in the opening of the first film, but he couldn't because he was working on his own film at the time, which still hasn't come out.

It's been very funny watching the rise of Smiling Friends as a cultural icon. OneyPlays and Newgrounds always felt like such a niche corner of pop culture but somehow it's resonated with a LOT of people.

It's crazy to think that one day Trump will be dead and the only people who will talk about him anymore are Democrats and historians.

Literary critics in 1925:
gatsby is a garbage novel, i will not be taking questions at this time

I'm surprised we haven't seen a state try to get rid of voting altogether. Constitutionally, they're allowed to do that. If a state wants to pick electors for president via legislature vote, or governor's choice, they're legally allowed to do it that way.

Does anyone else get the same vibes from Pritzker as Chris Christie? This isn't a joke about their weight, they just both come off like sleazy politicians with mob ties.

Wanna start a political party but I'm not really the kind of person who can pull that off.
