High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning.   Flooding is expected over the morning high tide on Tuesday 9th December   Spray and wave overtopping of quaysides, harbours and low lying areas is expected to flood properties. Areas at risk include Kingsand, Cawsand and Plymouth Hoe. High tide at Plymouth on Tuesday morning is at 08:36, times of high water will vary along the coast. The forecast total high tide level is 2.23mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be around 0.6m above tide table level. Strong force 8 southerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 4.5m are forecast.   We are closely monitoring the situation .   Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .   This message will be updated by 1:30PM on 09 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
