With @metoffice.gov.uk warnings issued for thunderstorms in London this weekend, please take extra care when travelling. We see a rise in 999 calls about breathing difficulties during this type of weather so remember to carry your inhaler / any medication you use.

Would you know the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest?

Know what to do in these emergencies and help spread the word.

Heart attack – the person will usually be conscious and may experience symptoms including chest pain, dizziness and shortness of breath. Call 999 immediately. 

Cardiac arrest – the person will be unconscious and not breathing, or not breathing normally. The faster you act, the better their chances of survival. Call 999 and start CPR immediately.
