I think, I was naive enough to believe what the newspapers told us those days. A lot of Americans never believed in that then and don't believe in that now. Now with social media, we know better what and what not people seem to value! A lot of them value Trump enough to support him no matter what!

Not sure what you mean by "trick". We know Biden & Obama live in his head all the time and for him, any stick is good to beat up his (perceived) enemies. This was either just a mixed up in his mind or he really has extreme form of dementia.
As democracy ages, people tend to take it for granted & make it easier for politicians to break it. It takes time for people to realize what the lost democracy meant, and then to regain it. Even longer to rebuild it.
Rebuilding democracy takes selfless leaders - which, US has none right now.

Our problem in living with fraudulent conservatives is when they are in power, they fight for their supporting their ranks & their frauds, treat liberals and liberalism as fraud. True liberals treat conservatives with respect & equality & conservatives exploit that to fullest.
