Helixftr is returning to the browser as Helixftr Deluxe! Patrons of either my or Alsnapz's Patreon have early access while work progresses, then it will be free to the public once it is finished. Currently, it only has The Gryphon.

FFT is every bit as brutal as I remember. From context clues, I think I'm usually two levels below what the game expects.

I'm not sure what the devs' expectations are here. I try to do a few random fights here and there, but do they want you to do like 3-5 random battles between every MSQ battle?

It turns out if choose to leave between sequential battles, it just loads you from the point before the battles started. It technically prevents softlocking, but you still have to redo the battles.

It's weird. I actually have a great family, but... I don't really want to be around them. My birthday is tomorrow and some of them want to visit, but that would make it less enjoyable for me. I just don't have the heart to tell them, though.

I guess I generally don't like to be around people.

It's pretty cool having put this together. I programmed it, Alsnapz animated it, and Geckonori drew the background. It's the first time I've been a part of a group that all contributed parts to a cohesive result.

I hope I get to feel this more in the future as I continue to learn how to make games.

Holy hell, taking apart a Dualsense controller to get to the joysticks is an absolute nightmare. It's almost enough to consider getting the Edge, but $200... fuck off with that, come ON.

It was also super easy to soft lock yourself if you saved between forced consecutive battles. On the last attempt, I got stuck on a third consecutive battle and didn't want to reload a save from two battles ago, do some grinding, then redo those battles.

I think I've tried to play Final Fantasy Tactics three times before, each time I made it a bit further. Each time, I got ground to a stop eventually. Seems like MSQ just required some grinding, and I didn't want to do that. I hope the latest version changes that.
