In this 4th Debunk of the Day, we’ll refute an absolute classic of vatnik BS, the crown jewel of peak dishonesty: whataboutism.
Now, not everything that looks like whataboutism is wrong. Seeking consistency or comparing actions or responses is normal.

Excuse me, but are there no republican congresspeople who are embarrassed to support a blatantly corrupt president?
Who are you?
What do you stand for?
Autocracy & kleptocracy?
This is truly embarrassing for the US.

For decades, the US has benefited enormously, because we all trusted the US as the benevolent hegemon, but idiot Trump has ended that trust. Then the many questions arise from Europe:
1. Should we accept the dominance of poisonous US social networks? No! Laws are needed! /1

You know what that means…

In today’s (first) Debunk of the Day, we’ll talk about… “realistic expectations”.

Russia has the GDP of Italy. NATO — which Russia claims to be fighting — has 20 times their GDP, and a much stronger and more modern military.

In response to Trump’s trade war, the rest of the world makes free trade agreements while Trump fires off new manic tariffs weekly every time another leader says something he doesn’t like.

In 2025, the US gave Ukraine only $1 billion in military support and that was a remnant from the Biden era.
Trump's US gives absolutely nothing to Ukraine because Trump supports Putin.

anything for many reasons.
1. Witkoff obviously supports anything Putin says, apparently for financial reasons, but I don't know.
2. The US demands that Ukraine gives up its fortress line in Donetsk region,...

The is not a new deal - this is Trump surrendering. For now. They have always said that the US & NATO is free to do what it wants in Greenland from a military perspective. Trump said that wasn’t good enough because he needs the US to “own” it. So this is simply Trump backing down

A demented Donald Trump confused Greenland with Iceland as a silent crowd watches in horror as the President of the USA humiliates himself, slurring badly and visibly disoriented

The president of the United States is so brain-dead that he doesn't remember which country he's threatening to destroy the world's greatest military alliance over.
Trump on NATO: "Until the last few days when I told them about Iceland, they loved me. They called me daddy."

(He means Greenland.)

In Trump's telling, the US are the equivalent of the Nazis
Trump: "No nation is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the US. We're a great power. Much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out 2 weeks ago in Venezuela. We saw this in World War 2 when Denmark fell to Germany after just 6 hours of fighting."

It is obvious that Trump is both mentally ill & treasonous, preering Russia and China over the West.
We have know that for a long time.
What really shocks me is that the elected republicans go along & does not impeach Trump for obviously impeachable acts.

Why does Trump want to seize Greenland?
Since the US has full access to Greenland according to its treaty with Denmark from 1951 there is no national security argument, nor mineral rights issue. I see 4 possible Trump reasons:
1. Hide the Epstein files (works well). /1

The republicans in Congress have a simply choice. Do they want:
1. The maintenance of NATO & the Western alliance?
2. Or dictatorship & kleptocracy in partnership with Putin?
If you want to maintain NATO, impeach Trump asap!
If you want kleptocracy & dictatorship, do nothing!

What are the problems with Trump's US from a European point of view:
1. Trump sees Europe as the main enemy of the US.
2. Trump wants to break up the European Union.
3. Trump opposes NATO.
4. Trump supports Putin & his aggression on Ukraine. /1
