If #AndyFarrell continues to phone it in a just look at the Leinster squad we are in big trouble for the next WC. He'll trott off to the England job and we'll have to start from 0. An overhaul is needed now looking at all provinces. The Lions tour was the swansong for many.

To be fair the Prendergast debacle has been Farrell's doing. He was rolled into Ireland before Leinster and no doubt Cullen then pressured.
The mental gymnastics by blue media to justify it since has been farcical.

Been overplayed and I prefer him at 5 too. The Pollock injury may have scuppered him having a half at 5 rather than a game at 6.

Your numbers are wrong, he's second to Morgan and it is just no true that he has been outperformed at lock. He's just had to cover 2 positions and is key lineout option and breakdown operator. Needless penalties? Again,hyperbole, he's having to compete in a breakdown where others are not showing up

Total hyperbole. Beirne is far from woldly oit of form. He is second in turnover count on the serues so far and had a great game at the weekend. He's been playing in 2 different positions.

Vdf is bot a great breakdown player, great tackler and carrier though. Morgan, Yes, but in Beirne you have one of the best breakdown players and linout operators.
I would have gone for Beirne at 5, Chessum at 6 and Morgan 7 though.

The breakdown has been a shambles so I think Beirne has to play. Chessum is good too so I'd say 4, 5, 6, 7 will be Beirne, Itoje, Chessum and Morgan and with Conon at 8 that gives strong breakdown and lineout.

I would play Beirne and Chessum. No McCarthy. He's no good in line out or breakdown.

Not sure he's out of favour tbh. He's played a lot of minutes so far. Pollocks injury meant he probably played more than intended at 6 on Sat.
