i guess it's less surprising since I think the western fandom isnt as big on the vignettes and their time together in book 7 is soooo recent

one of my least favorite attitudes is the really subtle one where people think the trans flag is more feminine/more representative of mtfs/default represents mtfs and not other gendersbc of pink/that a more blue-dominant version of trans flag themed things needs to exist to represent transmascs/ftms
