Pepsiman (PS1) (1999)

Pepsiman, a chromedome monstrosity covered in Pepsi Silver and Pepsi Blue colors, running down a lovely suburban street, chasing down a garbage truck that's dropping cans of Pepsi, because garbage Pepsi is the only thing Pepsiman can drink to get any sliver of enjoyment anymore. Pepsiman is a freak.
A jolly pixel-drawn person is crossing the street just next to Pepsiman, and they're just smiling and having a good time while walking in their flip-flops, not even noticing the corporate entity demon running beside them.

Pepsiman entering a cozy private family home, essentially trespassing, lying on his knees and smelling the turquoise floor carpet because, again, Pepsiman is a freak.
A pixelated lady (presumably the owner of the house) stands in the kitchen while holding a tray of food and beverage, just beyond the doorway where Pepsiman is being a pervert, looking very confused at the weirdo that's just lying there on the floor of her home, contemplating the nearest route to the telephone (it's the 90s, they have a landline).

Pepsiman in his most dangerous and greatest existential and physical situation yet, being chased down the street by a giant rolling can of Pepsi that's just crushing everything in its path, getting ever closer to its prey.
Imagine if Pepsiman just looked like a regular person, then the Pepsi can would just be a giant human head that looked like the person that it's chasing. THAT'S the kind of horror Pepsiman is facing right now.

A beautiful dusk light has fallen on the city, symbolizing its downfall and upcoming doom, with a burning drum barrel and a person that's clearly lost all sense of decency and self-respect, kneeling on the pavement with a empty smile on their face, raising a sign above their head that says "GIVE ME PEPSI". "It's too late for them" think the couple standing further down the street, looking at this unfortunate soul, knowing deep down that they'll succumb to the madness soon enough.

Virtua Racing (Saturn) (1995)

Gorgeous blonde babes with ponytails and skimpy red dresses walking off the track after announcing the start of the race, or at least that's what I'm gathering from the cardboard looking low-poly models, with one of them leaning in to either give you a kiss or bonk you on the head, it's hard to tell.

Your trusty red and white formula one racing along a beautiful coastline of the Acropolis track, with the aforementioned ruins slightly visible on the left side as we're racing past them, towards a quaint little village with cute white houses with red roofs.

You and another pink vehicle parked in the middle of the track next to one another, perpendicular to the road, just having a chat and catching up while also extremely jeopardizing the rest of the racers. Priorities I guess.

A first person view from the racer's seat driving through a highland area with some palm trees coming up in the distance.

We can see the driver's little low poly claw-y hands gripping the red steering wheel, kinda looking like someone is holding the wheel with two wrenches. Now THAT'S hard mode.

Cruis'n World (N64) (1998)

Cruuuuuiiisn', cruis'n the wooooorld!

A beautiful underwater tunnel set in Hawaiʻi, very rectangular and wide, basking in the deep blue color of the ocean with a range of aquatic vegetation scattered about.

We see the Serpent, a yellow car with two green stripes in the middle doing a side wheelie, trying to impress all the little fishies.

Since there isn't that much to talk about, it's just cars in different countries, I thought I'd post some dumb *facts about the world.

Did you know that honking your car horn in Hawaiʻi is very frowned upon? Don't Be a Menace to Hawaiʻi While Sidewalk Skiing Your Car on the Road.

*note, none of these facts have been verified.

Driving through a wonderful Japanese country highway with a lovely red temple on the right and big torii gates over the road while the peaceful calm of the scene is disturbed by two Zombie XXX hot rod Mustang-likes side bumping while a red car is flipping up into the air just yonder. You don't see people pulling that kinda stunt in Initial D.

Did you know that off the coast of Susami, Wakayama lies the world's deepest mailbox, 10 meters underwater?

Driving the big blue Rhino 4x4 through what appears to be an ancient tunnel with two obelisks and three masks of Tutankhamun with walls filled with hieroglyphs, which I'm sure is a common occurrence in Egypt.

Did you know that the Statue of Liberty was originally designed as Egypt Carrying the Light to Asia, a similar concept of a statue that was to be placed at the entryway of the Suez Canal?

Driving a London black cab through a winding and well lit tunnel in Germany, with the lights and and shadows creating a mesmerizing ribcage sort of look, kind of making it feel like you're driving through the insides of a giant whale.

Did you know that in Germany civil law allows breaking and entering if you're in pursuit of your bee swarm that you're trying to retrieve?

Chaos Break (PS1) (2000)

One of our heroes, Mitsuki, a member of the Defense Earth Force, a sharpshooter and biochemist, wearing a kind of a police officer uniform with a blue flat cap and denim shorts. She's entering the facilities of one Fluxus Inc, clearly dealing with shady shenanigans that needs investigating.

One of the burly D.E.F. agents, Larry, looking kinda confused, while she manages to boot up the computer systems in the facility, suddenly turning on a large and wide array of monitors on the front wall, showing static on many of them while some of the security cameras still appearing to be working.

Mitsuki tells Larry to "fix the communicator circuits" but he's just giving her a blank stare and kinda giving off a "can't you do that?" vibe.

Finally, we see Mitsuki's expertise work, encountering a couple of purple metal droids with four legs and cylindrical bodies that pop out different kinds of weapons out of them.

She's got two cool laser weapons akimbo style, held like batons or tonfa while shooting from the front. One of the robots is going haywire, shooting streaks of electricity and exploding all over the place while the other is watching from afar, contemplating whether to stick around or run away.

However, robots are not the only enemies here. The bioweapon threat has infected the scientists, growing out fleshy tendrils and spikes out of the unfortunate nerds, covering most of their torso and their head, making them into blood-thirsty zombie monsters.

This time, Mitsuki decides to do her powerful high kick, hitting the zombie right in the chest, making it shoot out a green puff of smoke.

Virtua Cop 2 (Saturn) (1996)

1/6 (I know, it's a lot)

Some decisions can turn more fatal than others. Take for example thug #43, waking up in the morning, brushing his teeth and getting ready to rob a jewelry store. He opens his wardrobe and looks at the assortment of shirts on display, grabs the first available and looks at it.
An inconspicuous old gray shirt, except for the short writing in front spelling out "NOO".
The man hesitates for a moment, thinking that perhaps this is a message from the universe, that perhaps it would be wise to put on a different shirt, or wear no shirt at all? Of course, his rational, analytical mind decides against such nonsense. Besides, he's already late to meet his buddies. There's a job that needs doing.

Half an hour later, thug #43 is shot in the dick while yelling the very same word spelled out on his ordinary, simple shirt. N. O. O.

Science, logic, reason. These are the qualities that have gotten mankind to the moon and beyond. Sometimes, that is required. Sometimes... that is enough.

But sometimes, the shirt you wear can mean the line between life and death in... The Virtua Zone.

All that shooting completely annihilates two of the police cars, sending them flying and burning in a hellish inferno while the two cops are covering their ears and running away like the pussy ass cowards they are.

The large jewelry store sign is partially obstructed so it looks like it just says "World Joy Max", which is exactly the world I'm enjoying right now as I'm seeing these cops running away in shame.

Our heroes decide to follow the robbers (of which there are hundreds) as they're fleeing in a dodgy car with flimsy wheels made out of cardboard. One of the passengers decides to climb out of the car, sitting on the opened side window and pointing a gun at you.

You see a large billboard in the distance with the face of the beautiful Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter and you get distracted for a moment.

Who will take the first shot? We might never know.

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64) (1999)

Cornell the man-beast, a slim and fair looking man with silver hair and dressed like what if the Prince of Persia was anime, standing atop a hill, overlooking a distant castle of one Mr. Dracula, surrounded by a lush green forest, illuminated by the blood orange moon hanging above.

Cornell's quaint little village being burned to the ground by a seemingly quite intelligent skeleton army, with one of the skellyboys standing up into frame while holding his buddy's thigh bones like drum sticks and laughing maniacally - a scene that feels straight out of Army of Darkness.

The resurrected lord of darkness (...or IS he?), a pale gentleman with long white hair and a white scarf, wearing multiple layers of shirts, vests and jackets which is probably smart because a big ol' castle like that has terrible insulation.

Of course he can do magic and shizz so he's currently warming himself with a little fire ball emerging from his right hand. Must be very useful when he goes camping.

A big ole poop brown dragon with kinda skinny hands, holding Cornell and squeezing him tightly while smiling with a big dumb grin.
What he doesn't know is that he must've rubbed Cornell in just the right way because the man-beast looks like he's really enjoying all this.

Panzer Dragoon (Saturn) (1995)

Our most amazingly named hero, one Kyle Fluge, currently fluge-ing atop a cool white and blue dragon with pinky-salmon wings that's psychically connected to him, flying over an endless ocean covering a sunken city with beautifully ornate teal square arches serving as gates the player can woosh under just for fun.

The game uses an amazing trick with two cross-sectioned flat polygons that have a wavy texture of the arches that are above water, so it creates the illusion of reflection. Just cheff's kiss.

Mr. Flugenstein the 3rd flying over an endless desert with a tornado just casually passing him by and bumping into another, much bigger dragon with a white boney body, two big bone, rabbit-ears-like protrusions and black wings with orange fringes.

It's the first encounter with the Dark Dragon and its mysterious rider, tantalizing Kyle's imagination. Who IS he?

A dark cloudy night near a cracked concrete spire rising from the ocean where a fierce battle is fought with explosions in the distance and two peculiar, white spider-like drone things wooshing on the surface of the water, creating beautiful splashing streaks, making the whole game look all awesome and anime like.

Kyle targeting a gargantuan imperial flying stronghold with several hexagonal plateaus, enforced with red and purple metal plates and armed to the teeth with turrets and whatnot.

The vast jungle below seems undisturbed by the commotion up above but I'm sure it makes for a fun light show for all the critters hanging out atop those trees.

The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road (NDS) (2009)

On a dark and gloomy night, a forest road leads to a clearing with a lot of white picket fences, withered trees, internally illuminated carved pumpkins and an old mansion with all of its windows glowing with an eerie yellow glow.

Yellow brick road? More like muddy, brown, dirty dirt road amirite?

Inside, a cute blonde witch wearing a red witch's hat with a little skull emblem on it, purple dress, spiky twirly boots and a fashionable red purse with the same little skull.

Her name is Holly - The Witch of the Fall and analogous to the Wicked Witch of the West. She's standing in the middle of the reception hall reading a big purple magical book (which is how I usually like to read), narrating the beginning of our adventure.

A distant side-view shot of the gang - Dorothy, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and Tin Woodman, walking down the yellow dirt - I mean brick road, on the most beautiful summer day with green meadows full of colorful flowers and lush green mountains in the distance under clear blue skies filled with a flock of white birds flying above.

This intro scene charmingly recreates the intro to the 80s Ozu no Mahōtsukai anime, even following the same arrangement of the characters as they're merrily walking along.

The Great and Powerful Oz himself, in a very peculiar anime rendition this time.

It's a green floating head with a creepy grin and too many teeth, ornate viking beard, bat wings flapping behind him and a neat little crown hat with a christian cross on it just for effect.

Basically, he looks like an evil brother of the King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy.

Last Bronx (Saturn) (1997)

The rise of the Tokyo gangs leads to the All Tokyo Street Wars and the murder of its leaders and key members in the most The Warriors style imaginable, by a new group known as Redrum causes a riot where the balance of power will be decided in a street fighting tournament named The Last Bronx.

Here we see the character select screen with 8 fighters with each selected character having a big, detailed and fully 3D portrait that animates when selected.

The current duel is between Toru Kurosawa, the boss of the "Roppongi Hard Core Boys", a long haired ruthless aniki with a big red headband, worn Solid Snake style.

He throws a disgusted glance at his opponent, one Saburo Zaimoku of the "Katsushika Dumpsters", a Fred Durst looking biker mofo wearing a red bandana and a golden earring, looking like a pirate and making that angry crazy wide-eyed look at Kurosawa.

What I didn't mention is that each player has a "WASTED" counter above their heads, signifying just how drunk the players are, with Zaimoku leading with 3:1.

In what looks like an endless parking lot called the "Brilliant Room" set in The Backrooms, we're witnessing Kurosawa in his full purple suit and pants, holding his wooden bokuto sword and stomping on his opponent, yakuza style, while Zaimoku is lying face down on the ground.

I guess being level 3 wasted didn't help in this case.

A big wide crossing in the middle of Tokyo with yellow road blocks forming a square arena for the fight between Yusaku Kudo, the blonde leader of the bosozoku street gang "Neo-Soul" from the Haneda airport, wearing a cool red biker outfit, very Kaneda style, and flailing his sansetsukon (a three-pronged nunchaku), kinda trying to defend himself from the swift dash attack of his opponent.

His opponent being Lisa Kusanami, the Japanese-American leader of the music band and gang the "Orchids" from the Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal, a beautiful blonde with a ponytail, blue top and short white skirt and long thigh-high leather boots. She's doing a skip dash towards Yusaku with her dual bastons or metal sticks.

Another beautiful blonde (the game's full of 'em!) wearing a pink top and leather jacket with asymmetrically ripped up jeans, sticking her boobs up with the red letters K.O. on the screen, signifying she's a babe and a robo babe.

This is Nagi Hojo, the sadistic leader of the all-women "Dogma" gang from the Rainbow Bridge area of Tokyo, famous for loving to poke holes in people with her sai.

Star Fox 64 (N64) (1997)

The Star Fox team, a stampede of different anthropomorphic animals showing they can all work together despite their differences. Led by Fox McCloud (of the clan McCloud), the fox of the stars, leading the sprint, with Falco Lombardi, a blue avian hotshot pilot, Peppy Hare, the old timer rabbit and Slippy Toad, the amphibian mechanic ribbit.

They are currently running through a very long space ship hallway because Foxy Boy forgot his keys.

McCloud wooshing over a beautifully reflective lake as he's trying to avoid a weird big waterskiing robot thing, rushing to get to a golden ring, floating under a naturally formed rock arch, hoping that he'll be transported to a bonus stage for the chance to win one of the Chaos Emeralds.

Fox shooting lasers at a scattered enemy squadron over a misty, calm snow planet with a giant futuristic structure looming in the center, looking kind of like a brutalist interpretation of a squished hourglass.

If you've ever seen Chris Foss' art for the Emperor's Palace for the production of Alejandro Jodorowsky's Dune, it's the same thing basically.

McFox bravely flying head first towards a giant lava monster with insect like face pincers, oogly eyes and looking very mad, probably because the floor is literally lava.

Vagrant Story (PS1) (2000)

Grand Steward LeSait, seen on the left, resting his chin on his mutated hands looking like they're a part of one big Chinese finger trap and Inquisitor Heldricht, smoking a long cigarette holder, looking at the divorce papers regarding her and LeSait's separation, making sure the document succinctly specifies one of the reasons being his weird fused hands.

(his crossed fingers are all done in texture over a sort of fused several polygons, it's an ingenious solution and it looks amazing, like the rest of this gorgeous game)

Two beautiful young people standing next to a tree at night, illuminated by the moonlight and the burning castle in the distance (off cam).

They are Ashley Riot, our hero with a ponytail brown hair and two very strands freely dangling backwards like rabbit ears, showing his side boobs with his very thin and tight white apron piece on his chest. His outfit is ridiculous and I'm all for it.

Next to him stands his comrade on this mission, agent Callo Meriose with her long black hair and two braids on each side of her face, being the recon and analysis part of the team aka the NOT hot headed one.

A drone shot of the castle grounds with many walls and spires shrouded in darkness and the main gate illuminated by a couple of torches, creating a beautiful and moody vibe.

Ashley Riot not wanting to wait for information or reinforcements barges towards the castle and stands in front of a flimsy wooden gate and fence with the tall fortress towers rising upwards into the rainy night sky, going his best impression of Cloud Strife standing in front of a Mako reactor.

D-Xhird (Saturn) (1997)

A dark, dank and damp dungeon is the domain of a dirty devil himself, Lucifer, the long-haired and fair-skinned prince of darkness, using his scythe to pick up Karen, a girl in a school uniform, by her short skirt and/or butt and pulls her up to get a better look.

I mean, if someone's gonna be a disgusting sicko pervert, it would be the devil.

Karen uses this moment of weakness to snap free and flash a blinding light from her butt, launching Lucifer in the air in a backflip (I ain't lying, there's light emanating from her butt, illuminating all the polygons).

Our great hero and protagonist of this story, BOY, wearing a short white jacket and pants, behaving very impatiently as he's flashing his big sword at Karen who's all like hands up and "dude I don't wanna see your sword or want anything to do with this".

Kinda unrelated but I just realized, the name of the game is pronounced as D-third, which means there were two Ds before this, but also this game is the third D, or 3D in other words.

Mind. Blown.

Seiya, a young hunter and rival of BOY, with short white hair and an outfit very much in line with the long lineage of the Belmont family of vampire hunters with an orange t-shirt, cropped leather jacket with fur and all the denim in his pants.

He is currently hitting an old Chinese healer, Kohjin, in the nuts so hard he's lifting him up in the air.

The calm, foggy graveyard in the background remains unstirred and is an apt resting place for Kohjin's testicles. RIP.

Duke Nukem: Zero Hour (N64) (1999)

The international radiation symbol made out of pure low-poly gold (or rather the symbol is made out of the negative space of a golden disc), forcefully imprinted into a blue concrete wall making it look like the symbol made a crater on it and the neat crisp yellow letters above spelling out the name of the manliest man that ever lived, DUKE NUKEM™.

I just really like this main screen as it's made out of 3D elements and looks nice and clean in high-res, could be a cool wallpaper for your Windows 98 PC.

A female soldier pacing hurriedly through the maze-like corridors of a secret government facility while other armed soldiers are frantically running around, trying to look busy.
She's looking at her wrist watch so you just know there's gonna be some timey-wimey shenanigans in this game.

Speaking of timey-wimey shenanigans, we see our hero Mr. Nukem finding himself in the wild wild west, wearing a cowboy hat, red shirt and holding a revolver, standing in the middle of a dirty mud-ridden town, looking like he was stood up for a duel, which obviously hurt his feelings a bit.

Going back to a more contemporary time, there's a pig cop (what a pleonasm) in riot gear with his snout and tusks sticking out, standing in front of the window of a burger joint, looking at the poster inside of a woman with an open mouth next to a hamburger and the slogan "more meat than your mouth can take!!!"

He was salivating at the idea of getting a heart attack from a greasy burger when Duke unfortunately interrupts him with with a shotgun shot to the face.

Burning Rangers (Saturn) (1998)

One of the new recruits in the Burning Rangers elite firefighting unit, Shou Amabane, a young buckaroo wearing a red and white jacket, a jetpack with wings and a pew pew gun that extinguishes fires.
He is eagerly running head first into danger in this power plant that's all kinds of demolished but lit by all the colors of the rainbow so it looks like a cool nightclub.

The other new recruit, the upbeat and cheerful Tillis, a redhead girl wearing an orange body suit and winged backpack, currently swimming in the flooded part of an underwater research lab usually reserved for marine plants and all the colorful little fishies swirling around her.
It looks so nice I'd love to live there, aside from the no air part that is.

Tillis running through a glass covered underwater tunnel basked in the deep blue color of the ocean with floating red crystals scattered about, almost masking the huge security robot that someone thought to paint in the very same deep blue color, making it kinda hard to see, if it weren't for its cylindrical "hat" with a visor that makes him look like a duck with one squinting eye.

Tillis finding one of the survivors and activating the teleporter rescue beam that just looks like a rainbow-colored cylinder enveloping the person, which some vocal internet critics of the Burning Rangers elite team accuse them of deliberately turning people gay.

We're back with another shot at hacking the internet with robot programs in Zero Divide 2, this time making them looks a bit more coherent and easier to parse and distinguish from one another.

We see the blue hero bot Zero ver. 2.0 doing a high kick at the poisonous scorpion-like red bot Tau, who dodges the kick just mere inches from its face while admiring Zero's cool sneakers that look like little spaceship cockpits with a yellow windshield.
It would be amazing if there were little guys in them shoes, piloting Zero's legs.

A thin electrified fence on a little grassy clearing in what looks like a dense jungle area (I'm half expecting for a t-rex to pop its head from the trees) is now the battleground for the cat-like Io with her orange claws, pink cat ears and apparently wearing a robo-thong, and the orange Judo fighting Eos, looking like he's built out of cardboard boxes and thatched-roof cottages (THATCHED-ROOF COTTAGEEEEES!).

The pink spiky-bot Nereid versus Pixel, a cute nurse-bot with a light blue uniform adorned with red crosses all around and kind of spiky yellow ears and pony tail for her robo-hair.
They seem to be standing in some kind of cyber-beehive, looking like they're just having a nice gossipy chat about that Zero guy and his funny shoes.

The newcomer crab-like green-bot called Cancer, if you can believe it, lunging towards Io with his pink pincers looking very derpy with his dangly stalk eyes and yellow snout with big nostrils and a frowny mouth shaped like the letter M.
I cannot stress enough the importance of what I'm about to say but man, fuck cancer.

The starting position for a 100m race with two contestants.

On position one, Aleksei Rigel from Russia, the bastard child of Dr. Robotnik and the Soldier from Team Fortress 2, sporting cool round Lennon glasses and a chin as big as his forehead. He's wearing a red, pink and yellow unitard and metallic bracers like he's about to take down the Roman emperor.

On position two we have Li Huang from China, wearing a blue unitard with an upper white vest with long sleeves. She's doing a little wave at the camera in a cute tee-hee kinda way.

A beautiful day with blue skies, some mountains and a modern cityscape seen in the distance while the stadium is packed for the athletics event.

Ellen Reggiani from France, aka the "French Express", known for her speed and stamina is wearing a red and green stylish leotard with her left hand sleeved and wearing a cute green headband.

She's currently running up to a long jump, caught in the awkward moment of jumping so she'll either doing a great jump or tumble over, the future is not known. It's the Schrödinger's athlete.

Femi Kadiena from Jamaica wearing the country flag yellow and green colors. A skilled jumper, she's running towards the camera for a pole vault jump or perhaps just a really long selfie stick, in which case the phone must've fallen somewhere along the way.

Japan's very own Joe Kudou, a skilled all-rounder wearing a black shirt with a yellow top over it and stripy red and orange shorts and being the coolest athlete in the world for wearing a cap, BACKWARDS.

He's running up for a javelin throw with the beautiful blue skies above him with puffy clouds and a bunch of skyscrapers in front of him, trying to kill the angel Shamshel that's threatening the city.

Megatron at the bow of his spaceship, the Nemesis as it's hauling a big Dark Energon asteroid behind him, closely flying near Earth, slowly walking towards you with a cheeky smile (that damn smile) on his face as he's thinking to recreate that scene from The Titanic, embracing Optimus and spreading his hands in the wind.

I don't think that worked quite as well as Megatron thought it would because Optimus has started glowing and has transformed his right hand into a weapon.

Now we see who's the battle axe in this relationship *womp womp*

Arcee holding her hand on her right ear, either trying to communicate with her fellow Autobots, perchance holding her head in disbelief at the most mundane factory outside Jasper, Nevada or just being annoyed that they modeled her with an actual robo-bra covering her robo-boobs.

Arcee's gotta get out of Nevada so she transforms into a bike and hits the open road, driving past a soul-crushing factory complex and following a little helicopter thingy as they're driving straight towards the big yellow moon. A beautiful and perfectly centered scene that would make Wes Anderson jealous.

Buck Bumble (N64) (1998)

We shift our gaze downwards, to the drenched and fog covered soil and the micro world of a garden somewhere in the larger London area, where peculiar things are happening.

The captions read out "The Evil Herd, an insect super race affected by the pollution, is now planning to take over the garden and beyond."

Not sure about calling them a "herd" but there's certainly a swarm of mutated cyber-wasps patrolling their military base near the celery.

Introducing Buck Bumble, the cyber-enhanced volunteer bumblebee sporting four blue sneakers and a couple of blue gloves while carrying a big laser gun.

Buck is currently flying over some red mushrooms and under what might be a manmade beehive case, doing a trench run towards a tree and a nearby shovel dung into the ground, and zooming beyond into the cyan Superman 64 fog.

Mr. Bumble finds himself in a dark thick forest (it's probably some wild shrubbery behind a Greggs), bumbling through a hollowed out tree stump with some suspicious cyber-wasp machinery in the distance with some antennae and whatnot.

It's blasting some chill UK Garage tunes while Buck Bumble's bum is bopping to the beat.

Spyro the Dragon (PS1) (1998)

Spyro flying high over a green grass plateau surrounded by so many little spiky mountains with snow caps that it looks like a gathering of a large extended family of mountains all gathered around to look at the little flying dragon.

Gnasty Gnorc, a silly billy green orc wearing spiky orange armor and helmet, no pants and a big hammer is currently being insulted on live television for his charming looks which propels him to become the main antagonist and turns all the dragons (except one) into crystalline statues, possibly to sell them at the next local crafts fair.

Spyro prancing along on a beautiful green meadow with ancient castle walls and bridge adorning the landscape, suspiciously looking at another pantless gnorc with big beautiful eyes and a floppy head like a citizen of Canada from South Park, holding a big brown bag over his shoulder and holding a pretty pink crystal in his hand.

They lock eyes for a moment, exchange their "what's up buddy, pal and guy" and each go on their merry way.

Spyro and his trusty and annoying pal Sparx the Dragonfly arrive at some wooden docks overlooking the Dragon Realms bay with a beautiful ocean blue.

They're talking to a little pilot fellow wearing googles and a red face mask, aimlessly looking around, trying to find his balloon that's hovering right above his head.

Spyro and Sparx are currently contemplating whether this guy was the right pilot of choice.

Virtua Cop (Saturn) (1995)

Introducing a couple of tough dudes, Michael "Rage" Hardy, the "Starsky" if you will, and James "Smarty" Cools, the Owen Wilson, I mean the "Hutch" of the team.
They're standing in front of some colorful shipping containers and holding their chunky guns at someone off camera.

Across the badass detectives we see a couple of men-in-black security guards being startled by the trigger happy cops as well as what appears to be a death cult member dressed in white robes pajamas, kneeling and waving his arms, begging them to kill him while one of the guards is trying to calm him down.

Rage is all like - wait, he said "please DON'T kill me"? Whoops!

One of the guards runs up to his boss, a burly man with a cone shaped head and a little patch of hair on top that goes by the name of Kong. He's wearing shades and a black tank top that's so tight it looks like it fused with his skin, and showing off his beefy hands that are almost as wide as his torso.

Kong, being visibly upset by the cops shooting one of his white pajama friends mounts a big blue hauler truck like it's a horse and tells the driver to drive off. Unfortunately they forgot to take off the windshield sun shades with a cloud sky pattern so the driver has no idea where he's going and crashing through a bunch of crates, almost running over a few more white pajama guys.

Perfect Dark (N64) (2000)

I've honestly no idea what I was thinking when I was taking this screenshot, it looks like the beginning of a sewer level, but I'm lazy to take more screenshots now.

A rainy cyberpunk night city with lots of gray concrete buildings and neon lights, with a futuristic cop hovercar parked nearby and a different vehicle a bit further, a limo with a peculiar design that kinda looks like Darth Vader's helmet mask thing, so I can imagine DJ Darth riding in them bling bling wheels.

Trent Easton, one of the bad guys (obviously), wearing a snazzy red suit and black shirt and tie with the face texture of a very young John Travolta, looking very disappointed as he's exiting a door, possibly the bathroom and not being happy with his poop.

A fancy, spacious office in the Lucerne Tower skyscraper, the HQ of the shady dataDyne corporation. The office has an almost Mayan temple design with slanted stone walls with ornaments on the sides, a large window looking at the cityscape and a desk resembling a slab for human sacrifices with a little blue computer display on top of it.

As you're sent to stealthily infiltrate the building, your hovercopter loudly whooshes near the window, scaring the bejeezus out of an employee in a red dress. So far so good.

Sega Rally Championship (Saturn) (1995)

A first person view of racing through an easy left and an incoming easy right winding coastal town road with picturesque houses adorning the left side of the street while the right side has some trees and a low stone wall with a lot of people crowded on top of it and cheering you on.
Not sure that's the safest place to be right now but these folks really love them some Sega Rally Championship, and I can't blame them.

Look, I don't know much about rally championships but don't drink and drive folks, even if it's in a fancy glass with olives.

A close look at the Toyota Celica CT-Four, white car with red and green swooshes all around it with the camera kinda over the shoulder like it's gonna pull out its gun and get a mission report over its earpiece.

The Celica drifting off course into the dirt and doing a tight left turn, barely managing to miss the low stone wall and the dense crowd behind it.

At least the other team is drunk on cocktails, what's the Toyota's driver's excuse?

D'arci Stern, a fresh new addition to the Union City Police Department. She's a badass no nonsense officer surrounded by incompetents and crime(!) so she puts on her bulletproof vest and puffy winter boots, cute rainbow colored beads on her dreadlocks and goes out to the streets to take control of the... URBAN CHAOS *dun dun dun*.

D'arci is currently leaning back on the wall of the police precinct, looking upwards into the sky and doing a big sigh. It's gonna be one of those days.

D'arci driving a UCPD cop car into the nightly black low draw distance fog with the silhouette of trees and buildings breaking up the horizon under the dark blue skies.

A single red soda can is lying on the road, but it's not Pepsi so it's not important.

Bumping into what appears to be a nice little party in a shady alley behind some dumpsters with two fellas and one lady standing over a guy that probably just decided to lie down and take a nap on the disgustingly dirty ground and they're trying to tickle him to wake up while rummaging through his pockets, not looking for any valuables.

A concerned citizen in a black and white jacket and jeans and mighty mutton chops approaches you to ask if there's anything you can do to help him with his head being extremely horizontally squished.

D'arci is all like sir I'm just a police officer.

Iblard: Laputa no Kaeru Machi (PS1) (1997)

A young man reads his grandfather's fantasy book about the wondrous land of Iblard, a green lush world of floating islands or laputas, magic and pastel colors and is soon isekai'd into Iblard via a floating train, very similar to the one depicted here.

We see a vast meadow stretching into the horizon under bright blue skies and a few hedges and rocks surrounding a nearby shrubby platform with some thin trees, serving as a train station platform for an art deco hover train that slides on floating transparent crystals. It's all very pastel colored and magical. ✨

A dense forest path leading to a big chunk of rock with a golden symbol of the crescent moon on it and the cutest little orange fox creature standing on top of it, observing you from above and look so proud at the idea of being taller than you even though it's just standing on a tall rock.

A colorful garden with purple, green and orange hills in the far distance and an igloo-shaped purple hut with glass windows serving as the home of a cute purple dinosaur creature with Pikachu eyes. It's like if a velociraptor was a cute little squishy huggable guy.
It's standing in front of the doorway of its home, looking at you kinda concerned because you're obviously eyeing the shiny blue crystal that's displayed on the cupboard.

It looks just like a brick of the deepest blue crystal meth you've ever seen and it's curiously looking just like the magical artifact that brought you to Iblard in the first place.

A beautiful oceanside city is being besieged by a giant green spider mech with four diagonal cannons on it's top (two on each side) with a little red center that kinda looks like a frowny face if you squint long enough. The spider mech has enveloped the city highrises as if the buildings are its babies. It just wants to protecc!

You are Cress Dawley (sounds like an Asimov character), an SDF pilot of a transforming mech that's currently flying head on towards the enemy and doing that target lock on thing where you're about to send a barrage of missiles at it, a veritable Itano Circus if you will.

In the upper left corner is a portrait cam of your M.I.S.S. navigator (of which you can unlock quite a few, one Leone Rhodes, looking at you sternly for trying to separate the spider mama from her few million human babies trapped in their skyscrapers.

A close look at another spider mech boss fight, this time a huge silver and gold mech with small green and cyan lights scattered on its armor. It's got very cute bright orange suction cups for legs, like its mama put on shoes for it before going to its first day of school.

The spider mech also has two very big guns sticking out of its center like little hands, but instead of being grabby or stabby, they're more of the shooty kind.

Traversing a high tech factory of sorts with an absolutely massive chad turret unit relentlessly spraying pink energy bullets at you.

You are however perfectly fine because you're standing behind a wall of light pink and light blue spikes turned towards the enemy as if to guard and protect you, threatening the asshole turret that's bullying you right now.

I interpret it as an metaphor on how your trans friends will fight tooth and nail for you because they're some of the strongest and bravest people that have ever existed so cherish your trans friends because they deserve it and they will stab your enemies with sharp spikes.

Doing a space ballet, in space, strafing along the sides of a beautiful chunky purple battleship and assessing all its turrets, missile launchers and weak spots, jotting it down on your mech notepad so you can later shower them with Christmas gifts (missiles) and hugs (explosions).
