The Library of Congress has named Arthur Sze the new US Poet Laureate. Among other accolades, Sze won a National Book Award for “Sight Lines.” A resident of Santa Fe, he is the first Asian American to serve in the post and succeeds Ada Limón, who served for three years.

Distressing news: many small publishers and magazines have lost NEA funding under the Trump administration. Reports are that those affected include Hub City Press, Deep Vellum, Milkweed Editions, Electric Literature and Red Hen Press, among others.
