A harrowing read. Supporters of AD wish to minimise suffering at the end of life, but there is so little data on the experience of patients who have chosen AD that the risk of inflicting further harm, pain, and distress is huge. We simply don’t know enough to pass this bill.
Why I think that an assisted dying law, as proposed in the Leadbeatter Bill, is not based on an evidence base and could go profoundly wrong
