Today is World Mental Health Day💚

Let’s keep breaking the stigma, talking openly, and making sure everyone gets the support they deserve. No one should have to struggle alone, help is out there.

Below is just some of the brilliant support services we have in York - reach out if you need support.

Lovely to visit Asda at Monks Cross to chat with the team about the amazing Tickled Pink campaign.

For nearly 30 years, Tickled Pink has helped raise awareness and funds for breast cancer charities, supporting life-saving research and early detection.👏

Yesterday, I attended a moving community memorial service in Leeds with @thejlc.org following the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue.

I have offered York Liberal Jewish Community my unwavering support. Now more than ever, our communities must all stand in defiance of hatred.

🎁I spoke to ITV about my own experience of gift card fraud.

Sadly, I know I’m not alone, too many people fall victim to these scams every year.

We need stronger protections and clearer awareness so others don’t go through the same, especially in the run up to Christmas.

Great to mark #NationalFitnessDay with a visit to PureGym in Clifton Moor!

Exercise isn’t just about keeping fit, it’s vital for our mental as well as physical health.

Today is a great reminder about how important it is to make activity part of our daily lives. 💪

Great to join the Network Rail drop-in to hear about all the new timetable changes.

I’ll keep working to make sure any timetable improvements benefit people across York Outer - whether for commuting, business, or leisure and to make sure people are able to visit our beautiful city too!🚆

Which drink is the best of Britain? 🍵🍺☕️

And what else makes you proud to call this country home?🇬🇧

That’s what Iain Dale asked me recently — now I’d love to hear your answers.

Wonderful to visit Optegra Eye Clinic, just after they celebrated their 5,000th procedure! 🥳

Their team provides life-changing care, and I know firsthand how important that is from members of my own family who've used their incredible services.

A rainy day at the LNER, but good to be here with Ken Merry, Principal of York College.

A tough late blow from Solihull brought our first defeat of the season, but it’s onwards and upwards from here. #YCFC

📍Delighted that Madam Deputy Speaker, Judith Cummins MP, visited York for a special Rail 200 celebration.

🚂York has always been at the heart of Britain’s railway story, and it was fantastic to hear from Frank Paterson MBE about the past, present and future of our railways!

Today, the Hillsborough Law was introduced to Parliament – a landmark change that will make a real difference for families who have lost loved ones in tragedies.

This law helps to put them at the heart of the system, ensuring fairness, transparency and accountability.

The Employment Rights Bill is the biggest boost to workers’ rights in a generation.

Tonight, the Tories led the charge to water it down, after Reform UK opposed it. A terrible tribute act following a failing band.

When it comes to workers’ rights, only Labour can be trusted.🌹

I’m excited to support Ministers on this bill which will transform lives in York Outer, and I also look forward to contributing to the wider work of the department.

The first job is to stop opposition wrecking amendments to the ERB that would allow exploitative zero hours contracts, and water down safeguards to prevent unfair dismissal.

I’m honoured to be working with Peter Kyle and the team to deliver the biggest upgrade to workers' rights in a generation.

Thrilled to be appointed a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) at the Department for Business and Trade, especially with the Employment Rights Bill (ERB) returning to the Commons today.

Thank you to Dunnington Primary School for a fantastic visit! 🏫

Thoroughly enjoyed a Q&A with Year 5 and 6, who asked some absolutely brilliant questions about politics, and how they can make a difference in their own communities. 🗳️🌍
