Mockingjay was a fine end to the Hunger Hames series but inevitably continues the downward trend after the first book.

Picked up Annie Bot as it looked sci-fi / about androids and also won the Arthur C Clarke award and also because it was 99p 😂

Thoughts so far: I get the message, I’m enjoying the book but it does need to ramp up the pace a little!

Currently in that dangerous 9pm zone where “just one more chapter” becomes “I’ve accidentally read half the book and it’s 2am somewhere.” 😬

I’m doing it. I’m going to get a @kobobooks.bsky.social. I’ve stopped buying from the other place and have started buying from the Kobo store!

Now hoping for a deal on the Clara Colour 👀

📘 Update: finished it. It was exactly what I needed: cheesy fun!

Scalzi describes it perfectly in his author notes as not a masterpiece symphony but more of an easy pop song with a catchy chorus!
Want to know my current read it?

It’s this. I needed something fun and easy after The Will of the Many and I always enjoy John Scalzi books! 📖
