that said i've been just vibing joking about everything that happens in msq with my friend as we go through it and that's made it enjoyable

and yes u can say well thats a personal character choice but it truly frustrates me in moments like that when blind sympathy results in a great deal of suffering for a great number of people bc they let things go too far. man. i enjoyed parts of it but sphene particularly falls so flat to me

im sorry but loving your people is not going to make me hesitate to fight u for wanting to exchange everyone else's lives to imitate a reflection of what life is intended to be. i enjoy wuk lamat but i feel like after all the shit the wol goes thru in the expacs prior they wouldn't idly let that go

played like level 97 onward with my friend and she skipped through so much of it bc of sphene and yk what? i couldn't even be mad bc we were on call both frustrated that she was being given so much sympathy that neither of wols would've given.
i'm going to work so i can't expound on this immediately but one of the main reasons sphene doesn't work for me is that the writing presumes i have a LOT more sympathy for her than i actually do and that emotional dissonance is really obnoxious

fr. on the one hand i have friends who wanna play xiv who havent bc they dont have console or a pc so its nice they can experience the story but on the other hand im waiting to see what kind of cash grab this could be esp with it being free and no gacha
