Don’t let the internet fool you. I was at a protest for trans kids yesterday an HOUR south of Seattle, and it was HUGE. And there was a cacophony of drivers beeping in support.

I could not believe it. Because I spend too much online and figured it’s a lost cause.

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

I used to do kickboxing and at the end of class I'd be DRENCHED and have to scrape myself off the floor haha. It's pretty normal to not stick to a single workout routine and mix things up depending on your body's needs. The most important thing is staying consistent! Best of luck!

Kickboxing is great cardio, but high intensity. Depending on your activity level, it can be very demanding on your body. Instead of only kickboxing, I'd work in some lower intensity days too. I personally like yoga for both recovery and strength building.

2. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Water helps flush lactic acid out of your system.
3. Listen to your body and exercise within your limits. You should never be in pain, but some soreness/strain is expected. Take things slower or modify exercises to gradually work up to a goal.

As someone getting back into fitness after a long break, here are a few things that I remind myself:
1. Warm-up AND Cool down. Cool down is important to work the lactic acid out of your muscles and help recovery. This should include stretching the muscles used during your workout.

as a neurodivergent & also weird kid school was hell for me, though these days I struggle to remember the names of all the teachers who bullied me. But the three that treated me like a person have never left me. Now more than ever, I hope you all try your best to stay unsquishable!
