I don’t trust my legs to do what’s necessary in an emergency situation. I might hit the gas instead of the brakes or vice versa depending on the situation. I haven’t driven since 2007.

I used to use open E in particular when I played She Talks To Angels! Depending on the guitar and string gauge it can be hard the guitar. But you can always tune a half or full step down. Check out Justin Johnson on YouTube! Incredible slide player and provides lessons too!

You’re not prying. Yes I’ve been considering slide for a while now. But you still need to use fingers occasionally and I’m so afraid of failure and the pain I haven’t gone there yet. Something that looks a bit more promising that I’ve looked at recently is lap steel guitar.

Yeah I started about age 9. Now I just look at my guitars and feel fear and pain. Neuropathy sucks!! It started robbing me about 4 years ago and now I can’t even hold a basic chord. 😢😢 I know the pain you’re going through all too well.
