In this election, Williamson County will be using a new hand marked ballot system. We are working with the Elections department to make a brief video about how this voting system works. We plan to have a video ready during national voter education week. Find it on our YouTube channel: @LWVWilco.

The League of Women Voters of Williamson County will participate in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 16.

National Voter Registration Day is a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to register hundreds of thousands of voters. The League will be out at multiple locations throughout the county and available to assist voters who want to register or update their registration if they have moved.

October 6th is the deadline to register or update your registration in Texas. Felicia Miyakawa, president of LWV of Williamson County, said voter registration is the first step to ensuring a resident's voice is heard.

“Every eligible American deserves the chance to participate in this year’s pivotal elections,” Ms. Miyakawa said. "We want to make sure every eligible Williamson County voter who wants the opportunity to vote on Election Day is registered by October 6.
