When people ask me why I opened a bookstore in the age of ebooks and audiobooks. Here’s why. #booksky
Shellwyn is officially out in the world and she came in strong. She reached #31 in her category on Amazon on release day. I’m over here trying to remember how to breathe. Thank you to everyone who grabbed a copy. You made this happen.

So I might be joining Reddit soon.
Should I? Have you been there?
Tell me what you love (or don’t) about it in the comments. I’m taking votes

As From the Ground Up Books grows, we need your support more than ever. Every membership, visit, online order, and kind word helps us move forward. Together we can make the Tea House and the new Shepherdsville location everything they are meant to be.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Big thanks to everyone who came out this past weekend for the Authors Fair, Rita Spalding’s signing, and our Ghost Hunt. And a huge shoutout to Velena for making it all happen! ✨

This weekend: wine tasting, Rita Spalding in La Grange, and Sprouts Story Hour. Come see us! 📚🍷🌱
No one can “submit your site to ChatGPT’s knowledge graph”. That does not exist. OpenAI does not sell indexing or placement.

Best way to get noticed: real content, real presence, real connections. Save your money.
Transformation is in the air. I am growing, my business is growing, and something exciting is on the horizon. Stay tuned. 🦋

Back to work after the holiday and honestly, I’m glad. When you love what you do, returning doesn’t feel like obligation. It feels like coming home.

Excited for the new Harry Potter HBO show! Ready to dive back into the Wizarding World and feel the magic all over again. ⚡

I set the to-do list aside yesterday and spent the afternoon in my woods. Sometimes the best work you can do is taking care of yourself. 🌿
Good books don’t just sit on shelves. They wait, patiently, for you.

Inspiration doesn’t always strike with fireworks. Sometimes it’s a coffee shop conversation, the sound of rain, or a single line from a book. Writers just have to notice.

What’s sparked your ideas lately?

Greg Iles passed away yesterday, and my heart is heavy. His work inspired me to write paranormal thrillers in the first place. His stories showed me how deep, human, and haunting good writing can be, and I will always be grateful for that spark. Rest in peace, Greg. Your words will live on.
Headed out to Perryville Battlefield today. Ghosts, get ready! If I get spooked, someone send snacks. 👻🔦 Wish me luck! Can’t wait to see some of the best people ever! #ParanormalAdventure #FromTheGroundUpBooks #weirdosinthewild
Lately I’ve been reflecting on just how far things have come.

Running 2 bookstores, Pixie Drops, coach indie authors, ghost hunts, & write books.

It’s a lot & everything I’ve worked for.

All with a community that shows up, supports, and believes in it all.

Thank you for being part of it.
This weekend I get to check something big off my paranormal bucket list with a full investigation at the historic Perryville Battlefield. Even better, I get to do it with some of the most amazing friends a person could ask for. I’m feeling grateful and so ready to see what the night has in store.
Oh, sure. I love how my creative brain waits until bedtime to start drafting novels, rearranging bookstore shelves, and mentally scripting awkward conversations. Sleep is totally overrated anyway. Thanks, imagination. You’re the best. #CreativeInsomnia #WhoNeedsRest #AuthorLife #SendHelp
Sending love and strength to everyone affected by last night’s earthquake off the coast of Russia. Disasters like this remind us how connected we all are across oceans and borders. Thinking of the communities impacted and the first responders on the ground. Stay safe. 💙
Got maybe two hours of sleep. Storms were wild, the dogs were shaking, and my brain wouldn’t shut up about a dozen new ideas. Basically just out here today, existing out of spite.
The Bullitt County Authors Fair is coming September 13 from 10 to 2 in Shepherdsville. Meet local authors like Jessica Lindsey, J. Patrick Lemmar, Mick Williams, and Lynn Tincher (that name sounds familiar). Full details at bullittcountyauthorsfair.com #booksky
I love these little tiny pop up thunderstorms. My dogs? Not so much.
