My family’s financial situation is still dire after the passing of my father in March. Any help that can be given will go a long way to aid my family, please consider donating to the link below. Thank you!
I‘ll trust the FBI and other law enforcement agencies investigating the murder which at this point isn’t even 72 hours old, over randos who read on Reddit that the shooter was a Nazi fanboy.
I have yet to see any evidence beyond what has already been reported about what possibly motivated the shooter. Now I have randos saying they know more than the law enforcement officials on what the shooters motivations were.
The gunman definitely was the end to Kirk’s life. Charlie didn’t pull out his own gun and shoot himself in the neck unless the microphone he was holding was a gun.
Why should anyone take anything your stupid ass says remotely seriously? Give me a credible reason beyond, “trust me bro, I know more than the FBI on what motivated the shooter.”
I haven’t seen the photos for myself and only have what’s been reported to be on them. Why should I trust the word of Internet randos who apparently know more than the authorities investigating this crime?
Rights exist because they’re codified on paper. Otherwise just stating you have a right doesn’t mean shit to a government. Laws exist because they’re codified on paper and you can be charged when you break them based on what the law books say.
Do you have proof he was a Nazi? Like screenshots of him saying Nazi shit or a pic wearing Nazi crap? Or am I supposed to take your word for gospel truth.
People empowered by a document without it, there’s no rights, no governmental structure, nothing. It’s a blueprint for a country so yes it‘s more than just a piece of paper.
According to this article Tyler at least had anti-fascist leanings given the carvings on the recovered shell casings he used in his gun. His political leanings are being investigated. Hardly Nazi on Nazi killing given surface level details.
It was someone who disagreed with his views enough to put a bullet in him. Not exactly a subtle way to demonstrate he disagreed with something Kirk said or did.
Words have power, words put to paper are invested with meaning and given power by people that believe in those words. A document is a symbol like a flag or logo. It’s invested with meaning because it stands for an abstract intangible thing.
His actions lead to the deaths of millions. Can you prove Charlie’s rhetoric got anyone else other than himself murdered? Because otherwise you’re just espousing hyperbole in the face of an actual death due to political violence.
If you can’t tell the difference between the desire for death and actual death that’s your problem not mine. Killing anyone conservative, liberal, centrist for their political views is wrong and only leads to more violence.
I recognize that Charlie has repugnant views and already stated I don’t agree with him. But I don’t think he should have been killed for them even though his rhetoric contributed to the cause of his own death. Killing him will only cause more harm than good. And that’s wrong.
I’m not erasing anything. All of what Charlie said and did in life is online forever. I’m saying killing him was wrong because it further drives forward the cycle of political violence.
Killing him was wrong, that’s not honoring him by pointing that out. It’s simply me saying I don‘t think the gunman acted in the right. But I guess from your point of view I should be rejoicing more political violence happened. But I’d rather not.
The act of killing is different than the desire for it. That’s why Charlie wasn’t arrested at any previous time because he hadn’t broken the law as far as the authorities were concerned. Yet he died because someone felt they were above the law and acted as such.
Nothing wrong with being centrist. You believe how you want politically and I will do the same. We’re not enemies and neither do we have to kill each other. The gunman who killed Charlie felt that people should do that, and I’d rather not.
It’s never been there in the first place. And I agree he wasn’t a good person but it was a crime against free speech and expression. No one should be killed for their views, not me, not you, and not Charlie Kirk. But a gunman decided otherwise, which is fucked up.
