Even now, years later, whenever the burden of all the shit associated with being in his position became too much to bear, or he needed a breather, Katsuki would roll out his bike, leave everything in Tokyo behind and just go watch her.
Most days were uneventful, she only ever did mundane things. That was the beauty of it. He never got bored, instead everything around him, and time itself lost purpose. Hours slipped him by as he watched her through the library windows, working away on whatever school project she had, chatting with her black haired, rich ass friend. Working out at the gym with the crazy blonde girl. Conducting experiments in the science hall with Glasses and the emo kid. Her face lighting up whenever she indulged in her favorite sweet treats. The girl sure loved to eat and there was nothing better than watching her do so.
It was exciting.
There was something soothing about his round faced little wife going about her life. This beautiful, shiny creature that carried on with her day in oblivion. Not aware of the hell he was going through for the sake of them and their future.
She was the light to his darkness.
The yin to his yang.
She was lightyears away from him. So far away from where he stood, yet so close he could have walked over within mere seconds and strike up conversation. What would she have said to him if he had? What would she think of him?
Ochako was so hard working. Dedicated. Brilliant. Beautiful.
And free.
And she did not even know she was his.
