#TheNakedGun (2025) is good old fast paced stupid humor like they hardly do these days. Don’t blink or you just might miss the next joke. Though some my find it dull, I bet it passes the six-laughs-test for everyone. Also, it’s not too long with it’s 85 minutes. I liked it.
Anything said about the plot would spoil this film. But #Weapons is crazy good. And I don‘t even like horror movies
#TheSurfer is a colorful descent into madness. A beautiful uncanny trip full of metaphors and meaning. A perfect fit for Nicolas Cage.
At first I was struggeling with #PunchDrunkLove because I feared it would all conclude in the unsatisfying awakening from a fewer dream. But although it features Adam Sandler, it really is a beautiful story with tense moments about what the power of love is making even the insecurest people do.
Super hero flicks aren't dead yet. James Gunn proves again that he knows better about comics, movies and audiences than most of the other hollywood decision makers. #Superman is a fresh start for a already better DCU. Colors and humor are back! The mopey seriousness is gone. Hurray!
Remember that James Bond movie, where a supercharming Ana de Armas helps out 007 in a cool action scene. That for 2 hours is what I expected from #Ballerina.
But you get a John Wick spinoff with a predictable, lame plot that does nothing for the franchise except showing John Wick for 2 minutes.
I see what you did there!
Wenn ich einen Kater hätte, der babysitten kann, dann würde ich den auch nicht wieder hergeben.
Not really sure how to handle #SwissArmyMan. I guess it's supposed to make you laugh and cry. But I fear viewers that can laugh about the fart jokes are not the same target audience that can cry about the ending. Don't know who I would recommend this to. Paul Dano is great though.
After a lot of Marvel disapointments that came after the Infinity Saga - be it movies or series - with #Thunderbolts we finally get something watchable again. There is gentle humor and action throughout and - best of all - none of the crappy multiverse nonsense. Florence Pugh is great - as always.
#PredatorKillerOfKillers contains three stories of different Predators that come to Earth to hunt. The story then brings the survivors of these hunts together for the finale. The visual style feels like the Netflix series "Arcane", but with a lower famerate, which still looks amazingly good.
In #Lilo&Stitch a little girl with ADHD becomes friends with an little alien with ADHD. One of the "better" Disney live action remakes if you ask me. Of course noone ever wanted any of those.
Denis Villeneuve sure knows how to please the eye with tremendous magnificent pictures. The brutalist architecture, the warm color palette... everything is beautiful to look at.
#Dune is my goto-movie for when it's already too late but still have the urgent need to watch something before sleeping.
Everything is symmetrical. The camera pans sindways through rooms. There is odd humor throughout. This must be a Wes Anderson film.
#ThePhoenicianScheme contains a very enjoyable Benicio del Toro, a lot of old paintings and hand grenades with meaning. Definetly worth a watch if you can stand art.
There are only two things to say about #LethalWeapon4.
1. There are no cigarettes shown at all.
2. Jet Li wins the prize for the worst hairstyle ever.
In #LetahWeapon3 Mel Gibson is using dog treats as a substitude for cigarettes. But the lack of nicotine causes a lot of menacing behavior including threatening innocent citizens with a gun and the irresponsible attempt at bomb defusing which of course goes bad.
In 1989 Mel Gibson fought Apartheid in #LethalWeapon2 while (again) smoking a lot of cigarettes. Shortly after Apartheit in South Africa ended. Coincidence? I think not!
#LethalWeapon is one of the 80s action flicks that made my youth. Didn't age perfectly well but is for sure still watchable. I forgot that smoking in movies still was a thing back then. It seems like Mel Gibson alone is smoking at least a ton of cigarettes in this piece of art.
#DogMan is the second best movie of all times (according to my nine-year-old). Lots of good humor. I had a good time, too.
I was surprised to find out that #TheKillersGame is not half as bad as I expected. Course it is no masterpiece, but good fun. It knows exactly what it is, an over the top gory bullshit fun ride that has to offer some creative kills. But worst visual blood splatter effects I have seen in a long time.
Although I have played the game, I was clearly not the target audience for the #MinecraftMovie. Still, it has some laughs and my wife who had no expectations at all even kinda liked it.
The kids though, who have been waiting for this since the first trailer came out half a year ago, loved it.
#Sonic3 was great fun for the kids. I chuckled here and there, too.
I expected #ArealPain, but most of the pain came from the constant piano soundtrack. But on the bright side Poland is way more beautiful than I thought…
