Anti-rot.The first (and only so far) step I have taken is to move away from Instagram.I did log in between my deactivation period,but I had some momentum going on,and the place looked.....crowded.Endless scrolling.I don't think I can ever go back again.Which is a shame.It was a good creative outlet.

Ah. Why do I like #TheLegendOfZhangHai ? There are problems with it, I do not deny it. Plot armour galore. Risky calculations, a dull romance. Yes. But I watched it as it aired, and had no idea what it was about, was smitten by Xiao Zhan after #TheUntamed, and the intro music was GORGEOUS.

Ah. Why do I like #TheLegendOfZhangHai ? There are problems with it, I do not deny it. Plot armour galore. Risky calculations, a dull romance. Yes. But I watched it as it aired, and had no idea what it was about, was smitten by Xiao Zhan after #TheUntamed, and the intro music was GORGEOUS.
Finished #FireworksOfMyHeart. Granted, I fast forwarded a lot. A LOT. Once the couple got together I lost interest. But that doesn't mean it is not a well done drama. There are many aspects to it, and it has done justice to them decently. But it was not what I was looking for at the moment.

(A)Periodic "Little Forest" appreciation post. Cannot stress this enough, it is THE most healing movie for me. Feels like meditation. While I liked the Japanese version, I am particularly partial towards the Korean one. Just thinking about it makes my heart full.

I don't want to be the person who whines about a drama being bad. If I don't like it I can simply just not watch it. Expectations, they make stuff complicated. Something I expected to be good, something I looked forward to, disappointed me. So I sulk.

Cannot help contrasting #FireworksInOurHearts with #LastSummer. I am on Episode 3, and we still don't know why they broke up, but the editing is smoother than the mess #LastSummer is. We get hooked, we get angst but not overreactions, we see the characters' life separately, things are building up.

There is a “tempting fate” kinda quality to reading funny blogs and laughing/smiling while waiting your turn at the dentist’s office. Moments away from resembling my fav #Cdrama characters (Wei Wuxian am looking at you).

There are some dramas where for some reason,despite decent acting,I am intensely aware of the fact that it IS acting.You know what I mean?Maybe because of the predictability in body language.Or dialogues. #LastSummer feels like that.

See, #aJourneyToLove doesn't not match with #TheStoryOfMinglan or #NirvanaInFire in quality, not even close. But it is one of my favourites. At least the first 36 episodes are. There are many characters in #Cdrama I appreciate, but there is something about #AlanFeng as #YuShisan.

Continuing with #TheImperialCoroner only because I like Wang Zi Qi. Fast forwarding only to scenes with him. The SML, the character Jing Yi, makes me realise just how absolutely wonderful #YuShisan / #AlanFeng was in comparison, in #AJourneyToLove. Squad Goals were awesome in that drama I tell you.

On Episode 10 of #TheImperialCoroner. Started FF-ing at this point. Why are #CDrama heroes so nicely written while the heroines are always so meh? We need more female writers, such as in #NirvanaInFire, #TheStoryOfMinglan and #NothingButYou for awesome female characters.

What is this phenomenon where you wait for new episodes of a show you did not like much? #LastSummer was not impressive at the first two episodes. I also have an inkling of what kind of story it will be. But it looks nice- the cinematography (is that is what I mean) is nice. Actors look good.

I cannot understand why #TheManipulated is not on Jiohotstar. Unfair. And no one seems to be talking about it either. Wer dem Indian #JiChangWook fans at?!

Aww. I did not know that MDL gave countdowns! While I did not like the drama progression, I am watching #LastSummer for Lee Jae Wook. And I admit, although it feels like a peeling onion, I am intrigued about the mysterious tragic event that broke the couple apart. Waiting.....
