One of the fun things about moving from the equator to somewhere away from it is, my threat model for food safety is basically ‘it’s bad if it’s out for more than 20 min’ (anything) and ‘food is inedible if it’s been outside for a little bit’ (100F sun and 90% humidity. And bugs.)

In the Austrian Alps, they just had to rescue two hikers. At the end of November they were suprised by... snow (30 cm of snow).
At least they recognized their limits when they had lost their way and called emergency services.
(Happens all the time)

I don't know how often I have read "The WHO recommends a rate of caesarean sections of 10%! Our rates are too high!"
Well this hospital had 8 - 12% and horrible outcomes.
