My nephew and his husband are both amAnglo-Catholic CofE.
I am fully supportive of this, and if it wasn't for the psychological weight of the martyrs, I'd be there with them.

Like Catholicism, but without the guilt!

I know.
In th'olden days, I'd be woken at dawn by t'sparrows coughing their guts up like they'd been on the Capstan Full Strength.
But, no, not nowadays.
If you want to pollute the neighbourhood youngsters, you have to steal some mdf from a skip and use it as kindling.

Absolutely insane.
Part of its charm is its seasonality.
Used to go to the marsh to pick it when daughter was small. Took HOURS.
Realised later that it took so long because I spent most of my time following a 3 year old to make sure she was safe.

I think i have conflated Booths and Waitrose and owe Booths an apology.

I am confused as to how and where it grows in Israel. Israel and coastal Lancashire are not very similar.

Nice samphire!
There is a salt marsh near here where I go for samphire.
I saw some in a supermarket: imported from Israel.
Less than 2 miles from where it grows wild.

I have been tempted, but not enough.

A bit like snails.

Basically, I think i have an aversion to eating anything with a shell except nuts.

A conundrum.

My cider gas stopped working.

The material to get it working again is in the kitchen.

Mrs Mac is in the kitchen and hates being disturbed when cooking.

How long before my urge for cider overcomes my fear of the wrath of Mrs Mac?

One thing I absolutely love at this time of year is the geese, huge skeins of them honking overhead.
I would photograph them, but the weather here is very overcast and still.
Basically, it's like the film The Others.
I hope im still alive.
