Marx wanted society as a whole (the working class) to own and manage production

State ownership is not the same as collective ownership

It's a centralization that can diverge from Marx’s vision if workers don’t actually control production
Gloating to crowds about acing a geriatric cognitive test shows how cooked that guy is

Karl Marx was a stock standard leftist

The difference is that he understood what he was talking about

"How do you know it's all BS?!"

Because I have a brain, and I read, and I read everyday

They're looking around for suckers and they found

Ooooh, here's a bunch of accommodating people

Lets put a proposition to them

USSR and the CCP are best described as state-owned / state-directed systems, not socialism in the classical sense

For Marx, socialism meant:

Collective ownership of the means of production

Direct worker democratic control

Abolition of class hierarchy

The person who made Trump's fortune was his grandfather and then his father, who continued buying up real estate in New York

Trump likes to act like a self made businessman, but he's just a conman who was born rich and powerful

He's used that wealth and power to screw everyone over

He's a pig

Markets are essentially making stuff you think people will buy and selling it to whoever wants it at a price

Innovation is when you try to out compete other producers on cost or quality so people buy your product

Pretty basic stuff

Don't need capitalists to have markets, or innovation

Just like "The Bible"

Nobody actually read Karl Marx

Lots of right-wing nutjobs will tell you all about "Socialism doesn't work. Oh let me guess, that wasn't real Socialism. Lmfao 😂."

"There are only two possible explanations: either no one told me, or no one knows"

Britain’s global dominance (~1688–1914) wasn’t brief luck

Naval supremacy, ruthlessly defended & well-funded, was key, but paired with unmatched finance, institutions, and timing

Victory came from sea control + sustainable war funding, not just ships

Empire ended as rivals industrialized

I'm not interested in redistribution

I want a system where hard work and innovation are the highest ideal

I only want the redistribution of the "Means of Production" to society as a whole

I want to live in a society where wealth is already distributed fairly

Democratic Social Market

Marx believed that material conditions (how people produce and distribute goods) are the foundation of society

History progresses through modes of production (tribal → slave → feudal → capitalist → socialist → communist)

Each mode creates classes with opposing interests

Western democracies aren’t secretly run by shadow elites, they’re openly shaped by money, institutions, and incentives that consistently favor elites.

That’s more unsettling than a conspiracy:

No secret meeting to expose

No mastermind to overthrow

Just a system that works as designed

China may lose dominance in low-cost, labor-intensive exports

It isn’t likely to “price itself out” of global manufacturing

China is moving up the value chain

Rising wages may reduce its competitiveness for cheap goods

Likely remaining competitive in mid-to-high-end manufacturing for decades

You're a bunch of fucking collaborators

Marx thought revolution would start in wealthier countries, because people would see the wealth disparity

Turns out capitalism pacifies people with comfort and entertainment, instead of class consciousness

Destitute people have nothing to lose

@albomp.bsky.social

The supposed working class champions are actually capitalist collaborators, who see themselves as now being "in the club" as political elites, who have some cushie job lined up with a bank and have gotten "comfortable"

They tell everyone else, "stiff sh!t, deal with it"

@albomp.bsky.social

Childhood “work” often functions as ideological training, not skill-building

Capitalism depends on early normalization of unpaid or underpaid labour

Those who defend this are collaborationists, not neutral participants

@albomp.bsky.social

So, you want me to work for free during my childhood, so that I can learn how to work for the capitalists, so they can exploit me for profit

Yeah, well that sounds like a really good deal, but I think I've got a better one

How about I give you the finger

People don't like the truth

It's like telling some Dark Age mfer about reality

They aren't interested, they don't have the capacity to understand

They just shovel sh!t everyday and love "Me lord"
