Morbid Mercantile is one of my favorite small businesses. I have multiple taxidermy pieces from her. This one she has setup for market this weekend and I can’t help but cackle. She gets all of her animals and bugs sustainably! Shes on insta and Etsy.

Timelapse of wood stacking. Winter prep is the hardest part of each year. It takes the longest as well. We use wood heat to warm our home since we don’t have central heating. This is something I get a lot of crap for since I’m not only an electrician but an hvac tech. 😅 wood heat is just nicer.

Winter prep starts with wood. We heat our home with a woodstove all winter. No centralized air. The process starts early spring to early summer, we fall dead red fir trees, section them into manageable logs, then cut them and stack.
