Call from the surgical vet: everything went well. Infected/swollen kidney removed. Nothing solid apparent, meaning chances of something cancerous are low (they will biopsy to confirm). She will stay overnight for pain control and monitoring and will come home tomorrow. ❤️❤️🥹🥹

Saw Jeff Tweedy and the family band in Madison last night. Fabulous show featuring mostly songs from his recent (and highly recommended) solo album. Very fun early birthday night out.

Good-ish News on Tula: The mass in her belly is actually her right kidney, which is, as the canine surgeon called it, a swollen piss bag. Her left kidney is working just fine and picking up the slack for the clogged, swollen one.
I’m not usually one to ask for good vibes, juju, or prayers if you are so inclined, but of all the creatures in the world who are deserving of vibes/juju/prayers, it’s dogs. And this one, Tula, could use all you got. Our vet found a big (for a chihuahua mix) abdominal tumor on xray this week.

The audio in the Bradley-San Francisco game is intermittently going out and when it does the score bug also disappears so it’s just like watching a pick up game at your local gym.
