ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER opens at Otay Mesa Detention Facility which is a real awful place in San Diego - one of the largest detention centers in the country. Otay is run by CoreCivic, a corporation that runs private for-profit prisons and has an estimated revenue of $1.9 billion.

I finished SILENT HILL: THE SHORT MESSAGE and it was really beautiful storytelling. It deals with heavy themes such as bullying, teen suicide, stuff like that, but in a way that doesn’t feel exploitative or gratuitous. Plus the visuals and music were really lovely. Akira Yamoaka doesn’t miss 💖

Heritage Foundation has released an absolutely insane policy proposal to label all trans people as domestic terrorists. It uses completely made up instances of terrorism and made up statistics but facts don't matter to them.
