Anyone consider the possibility that aside from avoiding the discharge petition for the Epstein files, maintaining the shutdown enables Trump to carry on as he pleases. I’m thinking the late East Wing, carrier to the Caribbean, and anything that strikes his fancy.

So the American taxpayer eats it twice, once on tariffs and again on a second farm bailout. I’m glad farmers are getting help, no one should lose their farm, but it’s remarkable how fast “socialism” stops being a dirty word when the checks clear in red counties.
