Dearest new crocheters: I am again seeing a spate of convoluted tutorials on how to get straight edges. The ONLY thing you have to do is pass your yarn from left to right under your hook when you turn, or turn your work in a manner that would accomplish the same thing. That's it. Easy peasy. 🧶

Straight edge of plum purple crochet ribbed border. This hasn't even been blocked yet.

LG makes the worst refrigerators on earth BY FAR, and I'm not being facetious. Ours lasted ONE YEAR. I have seen *endless* complaints against them and their customer service. You might wanna consider just cutting your losses. Unfortunately, though better than LG, I also can't vouch for GE nor Amana.
