It’s #DAFanFriday and I’ve finally written a paragraph that I quite like for my next chapter!
If nothing else, it was a comfort to know how practiced they were at holding the other through pain and fear. The words came easier with Cassandra's warmth at her side, the pleasant weight of her head against Evelyn's shoulder. Again, she cradled Evelyn's face with a familiar hand, the pad of her thumb rough from years of gripping a sword, but still soothing as it swept her cheekbone.
