While we should all be looking very hard at Starmer’s leadership, this week Nigel Farage decided that the people who vote for him would prefer to have cheaper beer at the expense of children being lifted out of poverty.

Even as more Government Ministers acknowledge the damage of Brexit, there is still no clear plan to repair the barriers between the UK and the world’s largest free market. Rejoining the Customs Union and Single Market is the only credible route to growth.
